The Integrated Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Applied Doctorate in Education, offered by
the Asian College of Teachers in collaboration with East Bridge University, is a
comprehensive program tailored for experienced educators aiming to deepen their expertise
and expand their career prospects. The M.Ed. component is structured into four key phases:
Foundation, Core, Specialization, and a Capstone Project.
The Foundation phase introduces learners to the psychology of modern-day students, an
essential skill for building inclusive, learner-friendly classrooms, along with practical training
in academic internet research. In the Core phase, students explore a variety of subjects,
including instructional design, learning environment planning, behavior management, and
educational research methods. The Specialization phase offers flexibility, allowing learners to
choose from a range of education-focused disciplines that align with their interests and goals.
Finally, the Capstone Project enables students to apply their learning through one of three
project options, reinforcing practical skills and research competence.
Upon completing the M.Ed, learners transition to the Applied Doctorate phase, which focuses
on in-depth research in a selected area of education. Under the mentorship of a dedicated
thesis advisor, students conduct and present a doctoral-level research project. This integrated
program is designed to build leadership capacity and subject mastery in areas such as
curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, special education, teaching practices, and
educational psychology empowering graduates to become influential contributors to the
future of education.
