In any classroom, it is necessary for the teacher to have an understanding about all the learners who are present in the classroom. This not only helps them to get an idea about the persons and more importantly, the different traits of personality they are dealing with, but also enables the educator to decide the most feasible route for the delivery of the course curriculum on an individual basis. This blog helps to derive how both the learners and the educator could be benefitted by the identification of the different personality traits present in a class and handle their queries accordingly.

In the following lines, we will have a look at the different types of characteristics found among the learners in a class, whether online or offline and the ways to handle them.

1. Auditory Learners

There are a number of learners in the class who depend on their listening capability to get acquainted with the course curriculum. The educator needs to notice that and provide the learners the intricacies of the curriculum through the best channel possible so that the learners can extract the most of the course content by utilising their quality to listen. The tone in which the teacher delivers the content should be engaging enough for the learners.

2. Visual Learners

Teachers can take to the usage of diagram and charts in order to deliver the course content to the learners belonging to this category. The visual learners can easily understand the course content with the help of these diagrams and charts, which caters to their development and the attainment of successful completion of the curriculum in the best possible way.

3. Verbal Learner

The verbal learners are prone to making dialogues with the teachers and their fellow classmates. In the case of an online course, the educator has to make sure that he/she needs to offer the learner more information outside the course curriculum so as to help them and keep conversing with them and help them understand the intricacies of the course content, eventually catering to their objective of the successful completion of the course.

4. Logical Learner

The logical learners need to be delivered the course content via mathematical and logical exponentials. These types of learners tend to question the educator a lot, which makes the educator be ready for any kind of question with a suitable answer. In a comprehensive course like the online counselling courses for teachers, the educator should be well acquainted with the course content before its delivery, which will ease the process of handling these types of learners.

5. Hands-on Learners

The hands-on learners are known to be those persons who tend to look for more practical exposure rather than theoretical knowledge. The teachers should look to use the case study method of learning in order to deliver the course content to these types of learners. This helps in creating an environment for the holistic development of a teaching-learning procedure as well.

6. Sensitive Learners

This category of learners is much more inclined towards learning through empathetic expressions. The educator needs to understand this fully and create the course curriculum in the most feasible manner before delivering it to the learners.

7. Solitary learners

These learners tend to keep to themselves and are generally late bloomers. The educators need to address the introspection of these learners and make them understand how the course content is delivered in the way they prefer. The knowledge base of these learners could be helpful for the development of a better teaching-learning procedure.

In case of the online counselling courses for teachers, it is very much important for the educator and the learners to work in co-ordination towards the successful completion of the curriculum. For that, it is essential to understand the various categories of students present in a class, especially in the case of an online course, where there is much more one-to-one conversation between the teacher and the learner. The maintenance of proper student management and the delivery of the course content should be kept in the mind for the teachers as they comply to the rules so as to create an atmosphere of learning and education.
