Live, work and save as an ESL teacher in Vietnam
Many ESL teachers from countries with strict work environments like South Korea, Japan, and China are currently moving to Vietnam to take the best ESL positions. ESL market in Vietnam is growing and an average teacher's salary in Vietnam is around 800 -1,000 USD a month or 10 -16 USD an hour. However, with some experience one can expect to make 1,200 - 1,800 USD. Language Schools in Vietnam pay a remuneration of around 800-1,000 USD/month, whereas International Schools pay 1,200 -1,800 USD/month. If you can make some time for private tutoring, that will fetch you around 10 -16 USD/hour. Other than this, Vietnam is a quite inexpensive place and the cost of living is lower which will allow you to save much of your earnings.

Forge a bond with nature and share your story with ACT this World Environment Day
Asian College of Teachers (ACT) is organizing and hosting a writing competition for all the enrolled candidates on the occasion of World Environment Day. This will provide the students with a platform to share their stories on any special activity they have done in schools as teachers or as parents involving either their students or their children in protecting Mother Earth. ACT would like to hear all the stories about positive environmental actions that they have undertaken even something involving the kids in their locality. ACT will warmly welcome all the entries with supporting pictures and contact details and the top two entries will receive surprise gifts from ACT.

Kirkpatricks Training Evaluation Model is an essential part of ACT L&D program
As a trainer or L&D professional, evaluation and measuring the effectiveness of your training is an essential part of every L & D program. Necessary things to take along on your TEFL adventure in Thailand
You are TEFL certified and you are super excited as you get ready for your TEFL adventure. But before you embark on a no hassles trip, make sure to plan the itineraries well in advance and carry along an open mind, a patient attitude, a passport with more than six months validity and several free pages in it, necessary documents and several copies of it, a professional approach, unusual prescription medicine that may be required, easy footwear along with summer clothes, and a neat and tidy appearance. Everything else is locally available at a comparatively cheaper rate. Other than these, would be teachers in Thailand will require a temporary teacher's license which is renewable later on. In order to apply for the license one will need: Certificate of a recognized university, a police clearance certificate from home country, A TOEIC score of 600+ or IELTS score of 5+ if you are from a non-native speaking country (which includes South Africa).

ACT CEO's visit to Singapore Academic Office is replete with new plans
Singapore Academic Office of Asian College of Teachers, the leader in teacher education in Asia with multiple awards in its kitty, has been buzzing with activity with the arrival of ACT’s CEO Dr Sanjib Chakraborty who visited the multicultural financial powerhouse of South East Asia, Singapore this week. Dr Chakraborty who has been the main driving force of Asian College of Teachers has been navigating the teacher training arena not just as a CEO but as an inspiring trainer/ mentor with a motley bunch of meticulously designed teacher training courses with an aim to prepare educators with global competence able to face diverse classrooms confidently.
His recent visit to the academic office of Singapore is to progress further with his vision of making ACT courses available to teaching professionals across the globe and provide them with outstanding learning and employment related courses and continue with the trail of planning and designing a bunch of Special Education courses which he plans to launch this year end for future special educators who will be imparted the requisite knowledge and skills and will be groomed to be expert SEN or shadow teachers who can bring fresh perspectives to their classrooms from their repertoire.

A collaborative workshop by ACT at Rising Star Kidzee
A recent workshop on ‘child psychology and parent counselling’ was conducted by multiple award winning institute, Asian College of Teachers (ACT) on 13th May, 2017. ACT, which has given a whole new meaning to teacher education collaborated with Rising Star Kidzee - Narendrapur, Kolkata for this workshop which started with a warm welcome and comprised of a lecture session and various activities. There was an overwhelming response from trainers and participants alike including teachers and parents. Topics carefully chosen on effective methods were discussed which the teachers could actually implement in their classrooms for a more positive outcome. All participants were awarded with certificates of participation as they provided us with positive feedbacks. ACT is looking forward to developing an effective partnership with the school to foster a better learning environment for the younger generation.
